Simpler passwords and safer Google sign-in

New passwords need 8 characters and nothing else. Google sign-in tokens are stored encrypted, and linking Google by email is stricter.

A password field holding 8 characters, with all 8 length marks filled and the one remaining rule, 8+, ticked. Letter case, digits and symbols are outlined as no longer required.

Passwords

A new or changed password now needs 8 characters or more. It no longer has to include upper case letters, digits or symbols.

Your current password keeps working. There is nothing to change.

Google sign-in

When you sign in with Google, the tokens Google hands back are stored encrypted. Pulget never uses them.

Linking Google to an existing account by email is also stricter. It happens on its own only for a Gmail address or a matching Google Workspace domain. Otherwise, sign in with your password first.
